Wolf Isle in Winneconne

Very disappointed. Stopped in for fish on Friday night. Clam chowder was served cold. Blackened salmon sandwich was dry and had a very strong fishy flavor. Perch dinner was way over cooked...the breading was almost burned, very dry, tasted very strong. Definately not fresh! Waitress was nice tap beer was from a local brewery and delicious. Otherwise would have been a 1 star.

The food was delicious! The wait was a bit long. However, to put 8 adults at a raised table for 4 was cramped and the wooden stools are the most uncomfortable. When the waitress asked if we wanted dessert we all said "no". Who wants to sit longer on those stools. We would love to come back as the food was great but the accommodations need some work.

Service was very, very slow. The fish specials were bland and had small portions for the price. I've heard good things about some of the appetizers and pasta, but I won't be going back to find out. Generally disappointed with the experience.

WONDERFUL WONDERFUL! First things first, my drink. I haven't had a brandy old fashion sweet muddled and in a long time. Next, Blatz beer battered cheese curds. Light crispy outside and fresh, fresh, fresh. The muscles fresh too! They were sitting in a white wine tomato sauce and had a touch of garlic to them. Now for the main course. The salmon risotto. Not fishy at all. The salmon was cooked perfectly, with a little crisp to the outside, but so full of flavor on the inside. The actual risotto part had been cooked with olive oil, tarragon,salt, pepper roasted garlic, and heavy cream, artichokes and finished with a white wine. ALL good things in my book! I will be returning to try everything on the menu! Do yourself a favor and go there. They are very reasonably priced, clean, and super friendly.

Wonderful food that you don't find elsewhere. The mushroom risotto and chicken and waffles (order with maple syrup) come to mind as two great dishes. The cheese curds have a light beer batter... fantastic.

1 star because they don't let you put a negative star.Went there for Oyster feest, which started at 5pm and we got there at 6:15. Oysters were gone, did make sense to us either but we still needed to eat. So after being seated for about 10 minutes or more we decided on a different items for dinner only to be told they did not offer anything on the back of the menu, meaning dinner items. Except for prime rib. Here I could go on and on. We had horrible service warm at best appetizers and terrible prime rib. Many excuses from our server.Save time and money and do not waist your time here.

This is currently my absolutely favorite restaurant. Food is amazing. Whatever is on special, I'll take that.

Is a sports bar? Is it a restaurant? The food is outstanding, quite a surprise in this fishing and drinking town. The ambiance is that of a sports bar, so imagine eating some of the best food you've ever had to the tunes of Bruce Springsteen and Guns and Roses, really loud. Doesn't quite fit. Still, I would highly recommend the risotto, and the burgers are great too.

Awesome food and friendly service. My son had the Special- Bourbon Meatloaf Melt. It was huge! Great taste and Priced Right. I had the chicken bacon melt with cheese curds. It was moist, made perfect! Cheese curds are to die for!! Thank you for cooking tonight!!

Stopped in for cocktails and dinner on a Thursday night. Liver and onions we're good as was the cheeseburger. The old fashions were excellent... Nothing like a good muttled drink.

Wine glass had lipstick on it. Food was pretty good. Probably would not make the trip to go back. One and done kind of deal.

Stopped in after church for lunch before we my brother in law and his friend left to head back home. We all had a burger or sandwich of some sort. Everyone was extremely happy with their meal. I had cheese curds with my burger and they were great. They only thing I wasn't thrilled with was the pizza soup. It wasn't bad, just not great. I can't wait to go back again.

When the chef feels like cooking food is great when he doesn't don't bother.

Just dropped in. They were featuring a chicken, artichoke and spinach pizza that was fantastic! Even though they are healthy, I have had some at other places that tasted like cardboard!! Plenty of chicken on it. Beautifully presented. I will have it again if given the opporyunity.

Great prices and the prime rib was delicious. We were glad we decided to give it a try.

Wonderful hidden gem located in the heart of a picturesque small Wisconsin village. Diverse menu, and amazing food abound. Very friendly staff make you feel like family. The chef is very accommodating, and understanding of dietary needs. I cannot recommend this establishment enough!

Food was amazing. The chicken sliders were nice and light, the blackend chicken and fries were great with everything, and the whiskey cake was amazing. Also, the made their chocolate whip cream In house. Well worth the drive from Milwaukee.

Food was very good and the staff did a good job. Unfortunately I felt the prices were a little high for what you get. I'd return for a drink.

Excellent food, staff was knowledgeable and efficient, establishment was clean and wide open though it felt a bit sparsely decorated. We will certainly be returning to try other things on the menu.

Best place best people ever ...... EVER!

The food here was amazing! Had been disappointed with food choices in the area, ventured out to this place, was well worth it. Their menu is closer to a restaurant style than bar food. It was delicious. I don't think the bartender had too much experience, but she was doing her best to keep up with everyone and not one person was less than happy here. Best place I've been in a while.

Very good food. Chicken breast was juicy, and mashed potatoes were outstanding.

Ate here twice. Drinks were standard and good. Pasta is made fresh daily, and it's obvious. Arguably the best pasta I've ever had, and I am Italian.

Excellent food, great service, awesome atmosphere. I'm missing the chili cheese fries. I was looking forward to them but they are no longer on the menu.☹️

We stopped in for sandwiches and bloodys. Very friendly bartender. Great bloodys a nod awesome sandwiches. We've ne er had a bad meal there.

We came here by accident while on a trip from Michigan. It was amazing! The waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was tasty with generous portions. A great find!

Amazing burgers, cheese curds and soup! Hand made patties and handbreaded curds! Hard to find food. No pre made stuff here!

Drinks were bad. Fish was small and no flavor. Cold since we had an overhead fan blowing on us so our food got cold in a hurry.

The server was nice, but it took a long time for him to get to us because they were busy and he was new - which is understandable. We then found out many things weren't available from an already limited menu. He did compensate a drink. There were families dining in the bar area but the atmosphere was still bar crowd in a small town. The leg of the chair came off.. and it didn't seem sturdy to begin with. They have great old fashion specials though even on Saturday.

Very nice bar with great service and very good burgers. Didn't order onion rings but they looked awesome on another order.
